Burbank School Board member Emily Weisberg admitted in this email that she routinely destroys public records.
Burbank resident Joel Schlossman filed a complaint relating to this conduct with the California Department of Education and California Attorney General, requesting an investigation into this practice as illegal, according to Mr. Schlossman.

Mr. Schlossman alleges that the destruction of public records violates the rights of citizens to examine public records and scrutinize them and the activities of the government.
Mr. Schlossman indicated that he is discussing the matter with an attorney who specializes in government litigation for possible action in the judiciary.
